Aw, that's not student nerves. That's writer nerves.


We are so small and awestruck before the sheer volume and quality of thought that is our legacy. Ah, to have lived in the 14th or 15th century, when there was so much less accumulated wisdom to be mastered--and no trains to leave you in their bitter metallic dust!


I also have the nerves. The horrible, brain-wracking nerves. I wish they'd go away. This semester might ruin me.
