It makes so much sense. Buber saw how I-It can never be what I-Thou is, and when we (both sides) see each other as It, we miss the chance for encounter.

Buber said, "All real living is meeting." I can only imagine what things might have been like if we (both sides, again) had been willing to have Buber-ish dialogue.
