Having been away from blogging for 10 days is like being in detox.
I can't remember what was so addictive about it.
I can't remember what constitutes blog-worthy material. I can't remember that feeling of needing to write something.
All I can remember is having spent time at the top of a mountain, and having had the privilege of being handed a chance to delve into Jewish learning with great teachers. Last week, it was, among other things, a firsthand account of Jimmy Carter's willful prevarication by the former director of the Carter Center; and a journey across the hidden terrain of Kabbalah courtesy of Daniel Matt, probably the leading living scholar on Jewish mysticism.
So now I return to my changing routine, and to my return to school, and to isolated shards of work, and to my son's bar mitzvah, and to what may be the busiest Fall of my adult life.
I don't know what else to say.

Welcome back :) You'll figure it out. Or maybe you've risen above we obsessive bloggers!

Yikes! the link to Jimmy Carter's willful prevarication isn't valid so I couldn't get it. Interesting blog, and I'd love to hear about the week in the high American Alps.

I vote for telling about Kabbalah mysticism.
